Sorry Jesus, I Got This Next Year!

Dear Jesus Christ,

I am truly sorry and want to earnestly apologize in writing, my dearly beloved Lord Jesus! I did not finish writing my Christmas essay about You as the Real Reason for the Christmas Season—this year. There were some personal and spiritual complications and too many procrastinations until it was too late to get it done for this Christmas Season.

I mean, as You know, it is almost done but not quite finished, and I cannot in my right mind and spirit publish it unfinished! And publishing it later this Holiday Season does not feel right, either. So, I got this next year and will finish it, as in the next Christmas Season in 2024. I will strive to make up for this shortcoming by doing my due diligence long before Christmas next year and writing a better essay in the end!

Speaking of the end, before I end I would like to remind You and everyone else that even Paul the Apostle made mistakes and sinned, as is evident in some of his writings. For example, in Romans 7:24-25, he wrote:

²⁴ O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? ²⁵ I thank God—through Jesus Christ our Lord!

So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin (Holy Bible, New King James Version [NKJV]).

Surely, if Paul the Apostle battled with sin as a human being and confessed as much in the Holy Bible, then how can I be any different? Indeed, how can any person on planet Earth? We are not You, Jesus, and only human creatures after all. Yet, I CAN and DO aspire and pray to be more like You, my dearly beloved Lord and Savior! Praise God, and thank You, Jesus! AMEN!
